Best of 2008

You know, 2008 wasn’t as bad as I keep telling people. I got to go back to Asia for the first time in 20 years, started a book club, discovered a love for graphic novels, joined a group of mix-tape enthusiasts, spent time in Paris, and made some new friends along the way. 1. What about dance parties? TV Shows? Meals?

  2. criticalreviews Says:

Hm, Best dance parties would have to include mine and Dan’s Pre-80’s bday bash, 60’s soul shakedown at Hope Lounge, Deepa’s birthday with the Sarah Paiin pinata would have topped the list, but the ultimate was shaking our asses until 5AM in Care’s apartment so that you could catch your train…pistachios and wine were flying all over the place.

TV must include, Lost, Gossip Girl, Intervention, Weeds, Dexter (although the finale was total bullshit), the Tudors, Secret Confessions of a Call Girl, Americas Next Top Model, Project Runway

Meals must include the duck and steak tartar that we ate in Paris, the Ancho Chile Chilaqueles that I cooked, Dans’ Burrito Bar-B-Q, Spicy Szechuan Hotpot that made it feel like my ears were steaming, eating korean food in korea, the discovery of Peter pan, Delicious thanksgiving with Kristy and Tom.

  3. I would also add “Rachel Getting Married” to best movies. I saw “Let the Right One In” this afternoon and it’s still haunting me.

I urge you & Tom to come up with a list of best posts of the year. And then fight about it, preferably in a public forum that resembles “Prime Minister’s Question.”

Oh, I haven’t seen it yet, but I really want to! Let the Right One In is so amazing! Didn’t it make you feel so cold?
